At Redi-Green®, we’ve always believed that good concrete can do more than hold things up. Our partnership with veritree gives us a way to contribute to reforestation and restoration efforts around the world — and to share the results with the customers and communities that make it possible.
The October 2026 veritree impact report is in, and the numbers tell a story we’re proud of.

The Latest Numbers:

  • 78,089 total trees ordered since September 2023
  • 61,423 post-wildfire trees verified and in the ground
  • 423 mangroves established in Tanzania and Kenya
  • 39 ha of degraded forest restored — equivalent to 1,489 tennis courts
  • 71,046 tonnes of CO₂ estimated for sequestration at full maturity
  • 867 planting hours created for local communities
  • 25 wildlife species detected through bioacoustic monitoring

From the veritree Impact Report – Sept 2023 – October 2026

The CO₂ sequestration figure is worth pausing on: 71,046 tonnes at maturity is the equivalent of removing roughly 15,445 passenger cars from the road for an entire year. That’s the cumulative impact of choosing Redi-Green® eco-concrete instead of conventional ready-mix on projects across Greater Victoria.

Closer to Home: BC’s Recovering Forests

The bulk of our planting work — 77,666 trees ordered and 61,423 verified — is focused on post-wildfire restoration in interior British Columbia, including the Nicola Watershed and areas near Burns Lake. These are landscapes that can’t regenerate on their own. Drought, erosion, and destabilized river systems compound the damage left by fire, and without active intervention the recovery window closes.
Working with local planting partners and Indigenous Nations, the restoration effort is selecting species for resilience and cultural significance. The results are already measurable: bioacoustic monitoring at BC restoration sites is detecting 25 wildlife species returning to the recovering habitat — including the Mountain Bluebird, Vesper Sparrow, and Dark-eyed Junco.
Seven verified planting sessions have taken place since the partnership began, backed by 559 photos, 15 videos, 6 walking paths, and 101 geospatial layers of auditable field evidence. Every tree is traceable — not a marketing claim, but a documented, verifiable fact.

East Africa: Mangroves and Marine Habitat

Alongside the BC work, all 423 of our ordered mangroves in Tanzania and Kenya have been verified. Mangroves store up to five times more carbon than terrestrial forests and provide critical protection for coastal communities against storms and flooding. They’re also a direct livelihood for the East African planting partners who tend them — a reminder that ecological restoration and community wellbeing are the same project.
What This Means for Your Next Build
Every bag of Redi-Green® eco-concrete contributes to this. Our mixes already reduce CO₂ emissions by 30% compared to conventional concrete — a reduction backed by third-party Environmental Product Declarations and recognized under Langford’s Low-Carbon Concrete Policy. Layer the veritree partnership on top of that, and the embodied carbon story for your project becomes meaningfully different.
